A 12,000 sft outdoor sanctuary carved from Dhaka’s densest residential fabric — built for play, gathering, and pause.
Bashundhara Residential Area is among Dhaka’s densest urban developments — a fabric of concrete towers, narrow lots, and continuous construction. The brief was to transform a private plot within this fabric into a green retreat that could host the full range of family and community life: sports and friendly gatherings, intimate celebrations, and ritual qurbani observances during Eid ul Adha.
REINCARNATION’s response organises the site around a central open lawn that absorbs the heaviest functional demands. Perimeter pavilions in cement brick and concrete house a dog room, kitchenette, washroom, and gallery, leaving the centre uncluttered — while a tensile shade sail and a layered planting palette draw the eye upward and outward, expanding the perceived space.
Site master planning, landscape design, pavilion architecture and detailing, material and lighting specification, planting strategy, washroom interior design, custom steel and millwork detailing.
